It’s amazing how, until I heard about "Mercury Retrograde," many of the things that worked in my life stopped flowing as well — especially the computer world. As I sit here, at someone else’s computer, (mine is taking a vacation!) I am so aware of the power of suggestion as well as the backward movement of the planets.

As Mercury and all the other planets are coming to bear, (the backward/forward energy motion) is it any wonder the affects it has on our lives?

I remember that what seemed like eons ago, I had my doubts about the effects of the moon on people — that is until I went to work for Western Union CTB. As an operator, I discovered that on the Full Moon people would come out of the woodworks with strange behavior. Of course, I needed no more convincing.

Now I can’t swear for sure if M.R. and all the other retrograde planets are the cause for all this weird energy exchange; however, I do believe that, in conjunction with the Earth changes, we are all affected on many levels — from emotions, the mind, and even the physical.

Lately, a great many people are questioning, "What’s the use. Everything I do is a struggle…especially when it comes to doing what I love." "I can’t even get people to attend a workshop these days." "I’m struggling financially and health wise. People don’t seem to care anymore." These are some of the statements I’ve been hearing over the past few weeks from a lot of people. And believe me, I’ve been there, gone there and in some cases I stay there for a while. It can be very frustrating…and, I believe that the questioning is a good thing. By questioning, we are actually looking at beliefs and how we relate to "God and the Universe." It is a form of finding our own way, our own answers. Yes, it may be uncomfortable and annoying, yet when we come out the other end, the air is fresher, the light brighter, our attitude different and our Spirit elevated.

I would be the first to say that it isn’t always easy and if it were, how would we be challenged to grow? Even our beliefs on this Earth plane would become stagnate if we did not question.

So, when we get to the point of asking "What’s the use," accept the questioning and then listen for the answer. It does come in mysterious and simple ways — through others, prayer, meditation, "chance" meetings, angelic guidance, music, TV — it’s there if we are open to the possibilities.

We are cyclic beings put here to experience all aspects of a dualistic society and as the cycles come and go perhaps it would be good to remind ourselves…this too is for our highest good. The Earth changes, the reflection of our own inner changes and challenges have been going on since the conception of humankind — therefore, it is not new, only changing. Take care,
