The Year 2000…Get Ready To Roll

The past years have been very discouraging but next year we will find ourselves experiencing a renewal of hope in a positive future.

This year will highlight change through partnerships. For instance, we have worked for 40 years to bring about social and ecological awareness that would turn the tide on the devastation to our planet. We will begin to see a marriage between these two groups and this powerful coalition will bring about accelerated change.

Many people see the year 2000 as a time of cataclysmic negative occurrences. I do not agree. In fact I see just the opposite. I believe historically this will be seen as the time when spiritual healing exploded world-wide.

For the past 19 years, we have had to run faster and faster just to stay in place. No matter how hard we worked, nothing seemed to move forward, because the energy was primarily moving backward so we could clear emotional blocks and patterns. Finally, we felt so battered we became discouraged and lost hope. Many times we felt as if we couldn’t go on. Yet we did.

We were also bombarded with powerful energies demanding we let go of anything that limited us, even people we loved. Now, we can honestly say, “Things are coming together. We did more than survive; we were victorious. Our hope has been restored.”

From the year 2000, and for the next 20 years, there will be a joyful forward moving energy. As the new vibrations build in the coming years, we will experience a new level of faith in a positive tomorrow as well as a renewal of our spirit. Get ready to roll toward the accomplishment of our most dearly held visions and dreams. While the year 2000 is ruled by feminine energy, our inner masculine will feel right at home because he has become stronger and more capable. The old adage "As within so without" will shine brightly, as we find ourselves integrating in a more androgynous way. Because of this, we’ll find that difficulties between ourselves and others will be resolved less combatively and more easily through kindness and compassion. As my friend, Joice Ashly, writes in her book, The Spirit of Numerology, “Your most important assets during this period are your charm, the love you show to others, and your patience, all of which will help you flow gracefully in the ocean of life.” Doesn’t it sound heavenly to "flow in the ocean of life?" My mantra next year will be "Help me, God, to flow more evenly with life."

As a further reflection of this wonderful, more refined blend of our masculine and feminine, the trend of the year 2000 will be to solve problems through partnerships or through the joining of factions which have previously operated independently. One mandate of the times will be that we will think globally while bringing about local change. It’s no longer enough to solve local issues if we are unaware of the problems they may create globally. For instance, for the last 40 years, separate groups have been working to bring about social justice, and ecological awareness that would turn the tide against the devastation of our planet. Now we will begin to see a marriage between these disparate groups, and this powerful coalition will bring about accelerated transformation. We will also see women taking a world-wide stand against starvation, forcing governments, who already have the answers to the issues, to take action. Even the internet and charities are linking. Until now, few of the new, young Silicon Valley billionaires understood the concept of sharing their enormous good fortune caring for those in need. Recently, however, groups of them have joined together brainstorming philanthropy, and several of them said, “Hey, why don’t we create a web site that is strictly to encourage charitable activites?” The response has been overwhelmingly positive. What a blessing this will be to people world-wide! And by the way, next year most of us will experience a great prompting within our hearts to care for and serve others. We will spend even more time and treasure in volunteerism and charitable giving.

Look for new medical discoveries that will help us to live longer with better health. We will gain new understanding of the aging process and some very ingenious, simple techniques will be found that will help us restore some of our youthful vigor. And researchers will find neurological cures for many mental disorders. I personally find this very exciting. Last century, we learned that a lot of mental illnesses were connected to chemical disorders. Now researchers will discover distinct abnormalities in the brains of those who are "mentally ill" versus the brains of so-called "normal" people. This will allow some dramatic instant cures through surgical procedures aswell as new uses of holistic methods.
