First, I wish to congratulate Jalene, and her staff, for the new look of the Auroran. It is always gratifying when your "baby" comes of age - Jalene, I commend you - keep up the good work. With this June issue, In Light Times celebrates the beginning of its twelfth year. As I look at the various issues from the days of my apprenticeship it's like stepping back through the doorway of time. There I find comfort and a sense of awe over what was created and yet, it is a place where my beliefs were challenged as well as validated just like they are today. This nostalgia of course leads me to what I really want to share - that of a new movie that came out called "Frequency." I was made aware of this show and must say that within a week I saw Frequency twice. It is different than "Sixth Sense" and more complicated as well; however, the messages, the twists and turns of this riveting film impel one to return again and again. This movie helps to define Richard Bach's book, One, where he talks about living simultaneously our past, present and future. On one hand, I vaguely understand this concept - yet on the other it's like one of the great mysteries still to be realized with clarity - at least in my world of perception. Frequency shows a link to all three time periods and how a person from the present / future (you'll understand when you see the movie) can actually change the past / present and ultimately affect the future. Frequency is a movie about a father and son bridging a gap of 30 years with the possibility of several different life path scenarios. As I said, it is riveting, mind challenging, and it shows the love between a father and son. It is a wonderful movie that I highly recommend. For fathers and sons everywhere it is a testimonial of the strong bonds our society was founded upon Ñ Frequency is truly a movie of such impact, you won't want to miss it. Frequency helped me realize the power we truly hold within our hands, thoughts and actions. It is a responsibility that must not be taken lightly - as you will see after viewing it. Watch it more than once in order to link all the intricate pieces together to form the past / present / future of our life journey. And with that I will close for this month.
