me start by saying that until 1999 I didn’t know a thing about Crystal
Skulls. In fact, I probably went out of my way to avoid them all together!
All I knew was what I saw in movies, and I’m sure you know the slant
Hollywood puts on skulls! Even with having worked with and studied
crystals and stones for over 12 years, I still hadn’t delved into
Crystal Skulls. So, with that in mind, I used to think, as many do, there
was something evil associated with them and they were surely used in some
type of eerie ritual, or some such thing. Then, in May of 1999, trying to
be “open-minded,” my friend, Patti Campbell, and I attended the
Crystal Healing Symposium II, in Sedona, Arizona, hosted by Dr. Chet Snow.
This Symposium was publicized to be “perhaps the largest gathering of
Crystal Skulls in modern times.” We drove to Sedona from Las Vegas, and by the end of the day,
there we were in a room full of skulls! There were skulls on display from
the speakers as well as those that were brought by vendors to sell. I
don’t exactly know what we expected, but what we found was an energy—a
wonderful and powerful energy! It was a welcome and pleasant surprise. In
talking with others who attended, everyone was very vocal about the strong
energies in the room. Then, throughout the next two days, as I listened to
speaker after speaker, and heard story after story from these incredible
people who are known as the Crystal Skull Caretakers, I began to lose my
fear, naiveté and skepticism, and found myself developing a caring
respect for the them. Imagine, if you will, people flying into
town, from all over the world, with human and near human-sized skulls in
duffel bags and such, having to explain to airport security what was in
the bag! I would love to have seen the expressions on those faces! I know many may be wondering why anyone
would want to be the Caretaker of a Skull — I wondered the same thing,
until I learned these people didn’t choose the skulls; the skulls chose
them! None of their lives have been the same since becoming involved with
their individual skull or skulls. I listened intently to the stories being
told, relating each Caretaker’s experiences with the skulls, and how
they came to be “partnered,” so to speak. This was not a joke. This
was not scary. These were not a group of “crazy people.” Most of the
speakers such as, Steven Mehler, Joshua Shapiro, Carole Wilson, DaEl
Walker, and JaneAnn Dow were actually quite well known. A wonderfully
interesting woman, Joky Van Dieten, was also there with seven skulls
carved from various crystals and stones. There were Mayan priests,
traditionally costumed Mayan dancers, and Flordemayo, a Mayan priestess
and healer. These beautiful works of art radiated an amazingly strong, yet
peaceful, loving energy. There was a slide presentation which
allowed us to see many skulls, including probably the most famous of all,
the Mitchell-Hedges Skull, which was discovered in 1924, in British
Honduras at the site of an ancient Mayan place of worship. This particular
skull is unusual in the fact that it has a removable jaw. In viewing these
skulls from various angles and under different lighting, amazing things
happened. There were actually pictures that could be viewed within the
skulls. One could even see spacecraft, angels, flowing lava, underwater
worlds, a priestess, images of groups of people and much more. Every angle
revealed different images and scenes of the past, (or maybe the future).
Within certain skulls there seemed to be a story. I came to learn
that crystal skulls were classified as, “Ancient” (tens of thousands
to possibly millions of years old), “Old” (over 200 years old), and
“Contemporary” (under 200 years old). I discovered all skulls were not
clear Quartz Crystal, but have been carved or formed from various
gemstones, such as, Amethyst, Smoky Quartz, Rose Quartz, Malachite, Lapis
Lazuli, Obsidian, Turquoise and others. Many believe only truly
“communicative” skulls are made of Quartz Crystal in it’s various
colors, Clear, Rose, Amethyst, and Smoky. The Quartz Crystal actually has
an energy of it’s own…a vibration, a power. The crystals can be
incredible sources of light and energy and are capable of receiving,
storing, transmitting, projecting, emanating, refracting, and reflecting
light, which is the highest form of energy known in the physical universe.
With Ancient skulls in particular, the unsolved mystery seems to be,
“where did they originally come from?” Ancient skulls have been
discovered at various sites of ancient ruins around the world. Since
Carbon-14 dating works only with organic material, it is impossible to
date the Ancient skulls in this way. So, through intuitive impressions and
psychic messages (psychometry) dating the Ancient skulls is possible, and
if there was any organic material near the skull when it was discovered
that could be dated by Carbon-14 test. Another mind-boggling question,
“how were they made?” Well, that’s quite curious as presumably,
there were no modern tools thousands or millions of years ago, and the
extremely detailed features should surely show signs of some type of
ancient chiseling — yet they do not. There have even been scientific
tests and studies done on some of the skulls at Hewlett-Packard, and in
1970, a test on the Mitchell-Hedges Skull had results so astounding, they
were quoted as saying: “The damn thing shouldn’t even be!” It is speculated the Ancient skulls were
left on Earth by, (are you ready for this?), extra-terrestrial beings, who
knew humans would perceive the shape of the skull to be a storehouse of
wisdom and knowledge as it houses the brain. It is believed these skulls
have been filled with the knowledge and wisdom of all that is, and they
have a particular purpose on Earth. There is the belief that there are
thirteen Ancient skulls that have been left on Earth and when they have
all been discovered and brought together, something incredible and life
changing will occur. Also it is believed the skulls are here to help bring
peace, harmony, wisdom, and to advance us spiritually. Psychically
sensitive individuals know this to be true based on messages given or
shown to them while in meditation with these skulls. While the Ancient
skulls are professed to be the most powerful, experts in the field and
Caretakers of Old and Contemporary skulls feel ALL crystal skulls
definitely have power and can be activated. During the
conference the Skulls were put on a table at the front of the room. I
believe this was done not so much for the audience, as for the
Skulls—giving them time with each other to exchange energy, information
and wisdom. I know this sounds a bit out there, but it seemed so right to
have them all together. It was stated they all hold energies, knowledge
and wisdom like pieces to a puzzle, and they gather, absorb, exchange and
transmit this amongst themselves and with their Caretakers as well as
others who are open to it. The energy in the room was quite strong, and I
must say, I was to some degree or another, affected. Many Caretakers and
others who have slept in the same room, or adjacent to a room with a
Crystal Skull, state that it’s difficult, if not impossible, to sleep!
Many have heard sounds emanating from the skulls, experienced prophetic
dreams, holographic images, or just felt so charged up from the energy
they couldn’t sleep. There are hundreds of people who claim to have had
healing occur while in the presence of a crystal skull. I was even
privileged to have a little time with a couple of the skulls—a
contemporary smoky quartz skull, Portal De Luz, whose caretaker is Joshua
Shapiro. While holding Portal De Luz, the energy of it brought emotions
strong enough to bring tears to my eyes! And the other was an old/ancient
clear quartz crystal skull called, Windsong, whose caretaker is Floyd
Petrie. This skull is believed to house an entity from another planet in
another galaxy, which has since been destroyed. I had an incredible
experience after working with the Windsong Skull and I KNOW the experience
was a gift from this particular entity/skull. It is my personal opinion
there is definitely something incredible going on with these skulls, and
many feel they are surfacing at this time to help our civilization. As I
mentioned, even the Contemporary skulls have been being activated and seem
to be gathering and imparting valuable energy and information. I recommend Mysteries Of The Crystal Skulls
