Humanity has received a great awakening call and the response is phenomenal. After the shock wave on September 11th governments and political leaders, military and local institutions joined in the quest for peace. Terrorism is not outside of us; it is an energy that lives and breathes within the fabric of our very being. To release terrorism we must each cleanse our own hearts of the inner terrorist that daily threatens our very existence. Inner Focus Transformational
Affirmation #1 Transformation requires your presence. Transformation can only occur in the moment. This is key. Being present means being present to your feelings; learning to tell the truth about how you 'feel' about something when you feel it so those thoughts do not later come out in hurtful ways. Fear keeps us in a place of feeling nothing, a frozen state of numbness where feeling is too painful to even consider; asleep to our own needs; living through and for others. September 11th shattered our sleeping state and people came alive, they woke up to each other. Now we must hold on to this moment. "Today I am here, I feel the pain and am glad to feel." Humanity is recognizing the heart of life beats as one. We are reaching outside ourselves and saying NO to terror by staying present for each other. Inner Focus Transformational
Affirmation #2 Look into your life and list the things you are doing for the approval of others. We are disempowered when we continue to be motivated by a need for approval. You lose sight of who you are when approval from others dictates your choices. Needing approval is necessary growing up because it provides guidance and self-esteem. It is in the vast desert of your 'teens' when you discover yourself and your own values. Make friends with your Creative Spirit. Journal your personal set of values. What makes you happy, what gives you real pleasure? That is all you need to do. Your Creative Spirit goes on automatic pilot and follows your conscious lead. Inner Focus Transformational
Affirmation #3 Often we need to reeducate the conscious use of the word responsibility because this word is often equated with blame and guilt. Responsibility equals the ability to respond with kindness and unconditional love, an adult learned behavior called compassion since compassion, like responsibility, is learned. If you, as an adult, expect these behaviors from those under the age of 18 you will be disappointed. It is the job of the adult to be the loving example for the child to follow. Spiritual Maturity comes from compassion and responsibility. They are nurtured and loved into remembering. In other words, I love you for who you are not for what you do. This maturity is what empowers others and yourself. When you see this in others it is evident you see it in yourself. Transformation 2002 is already taking place in the Heart of Humanity. Terrorism would have us stay frozen, unable to move. Humanity is moving, healing and lifting one another in the process. Blessings for a healthy, prosperous and peaceful New Year! § AlixSandra Parness is the founder of the Inner
