Greetings and Happy New Year! With 2003 I am reminded how we, as a society, look forward to new beginnings — a new star if you will. It is a time when our past dealings with life’s experiences can be put to rest and we can move forward to something more conducive to our "out-picturing" of the coming tides. I recall when there was tremendous hype with the New Millennium 2000 and all the panic people expressed — for they just "knew" our world was going to end as we had known it — all because of the computer age. Looking back since that time, I would have to agree that our world is definitely not as we had known it. So much has transpired in our lives, and although our changes may have come about through difficult challenges and tragedies, they are the substance from which we will emerge triumphant. It is said, "every cloud has a silver lining." I believe that we must look upward, see the cloud and all that it has to offer. It isn’t just one color or density and it takes on many aspects of life. Is the cloud a thunderstorm type? Or perhaps a wispy thin cloud that dissipated in the winds of life? Perhaps it’s a thick fluffy cloud that just floats along in life ? just "being." Do you get my drift? We can go through life with thunderclouds hanging over our heads or we can be like the soft, fluffy clouds that just "are." Maybe this is a wee bit "airy fairy;" however, it’s the place I find myself today and today is the moment I have. So, if you will, forgive my day in the clouds for I am excited to have found a silver lining — the paper is finished and a new era is beginning. Take care my dear friends, and may this New Year take you on a journey filled with intriguing "out-picturings." I love you.
