My dear friends, Greetings. Imagine if you will, standing before a beautiful golden door. This doorway represents the past, present and future. As we enter we discover all the out-picturing of our life’s innermost thoughts. The hills, valleys and detours we created lay before us. The obstacles we molded remind us of the intricate patterns we embraced along our journey’s path. Standing in this chamber of review what feelings surface? Joy? Love? Sadness? Anger? Blame? Victimhood? Or maybe it is too painful to review. Now let me ask you. Do you like where you are on your present path? Are you satisfied and happy? If the answer is "no" then perhaps it is necessary to truly look at our previous choices. Some would say that you cannot go back. I say, that is not true for we are constantly rewriting our life’s story. How we change that story is up to us. By using hindsight and wisdom, many life’s lessons can be rewritten. If there is some event or circumstance from our past that brings us pain or anger then take the steps to evolve beyond the old "outcome". The past is a wonderful teacher…especially when we can view it from the observer position. From here we can suspend judgments and the emotional baggage we carry with each incident. When we are in the present we are indeed creating our future. However, our present immediately becomes our past — therefore, it is vital that we create a future based on those values which bring us balance, peace, joy and love. The past is but a chapter in the ongoing creation of the present while the present is but a window into the future of time. Understanding how we arrived at the juncture we find ourselves is the beginning of a bright future. As we merge into the fall season and enter the final quarter of 2003, let us unearth those things that no longer serve us from the past and release them into the winds of change. Take care my friends, P.S. My heartfelt gratitude to Peggy Fuller for putting this months issue together. Thank-you.
