Hans Christian King, psychic medium and spiritual teacher, has been doing his service for over 40 years. He works with four main guides and your personal guidance to bring through relevant information about your life. He does this through seminars, workshops and private readings. The focus of his current work is to assist people in getting in touch with their own angels and spirit guides to transform their lives and the lives around them. ILT How long have you been doing this kind of work and what is your purpose? HCK I’ve been doing this for 48 years. My purpose is to help people understand why and where they are; as well as how to tap into the help that is available from the other side. ILT Who were your boyhood heroes and how do they differ from now? HCK Many of them came out of the bible believe it or not. Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, people who in times of adversity, rose above the appearance of the condition and persevered. I think they are different now. My heroes now have to do with people who are in this world to make a difference. People who want to make a difference; I think that is very important. ILT How was your childhood? HCK Well, it was different from other children because I was born A.D.D. and dyslexic. My perceptions were different. I didn’t think inside the box, I thought outside the box, which made me different from other people. I was also perceived as a witch; it was very difficult. But I noticed at an early age I had far more adult friends then kid friends. I am not quite certain how that came to be, but I was counseling when I was 7-8 years old and I have been doing it ever since. ILT What process do you do to prepare for readings? HCK I have basically four guides and before I ever leave for work I have a little meditation session with them. I ask them to please bring clarity, to please bring light, and to bring those from the other side who this person needs to hear. I ask them to give me the clarity for that day and help me stay out of my own way and not let my own thoughts interfere. ILT What is Trance Channeling? HCK Trance Channeling is when a medium steps aside and allows an entity from the spirit world to occupy their body, for a short time, in order to transmit energy and thought verbalizations. There is also the physical aspect of Trance Channeling which is called, "Over Shadowing." You may have seen that in the movie "Ghost" when Patrick Swayze entered Whoopi Goldberg;s body and was actually able to hug his wife. That’s called Over Shadowing. I’m what is called a direct voice medium. A direct voice medium automatically hears everything that is being given to the person and actually speaks the words at the same time they are being given to him from they entity. ILT What determines an old soul as opposed to a new soul? HCK I think these are very misguided terms. All souls have an origination point and some souls choose to come back here a lot. We call those soulsold souls. Some souls choose not to come back here so when they come onto this plane, their experiences have been limited and they don’t have the same perceptions, or the same drive—they are different. Old souls however, have returned over and over again. When they come into this plane, it is to basically work on themselves. ILT What is the difference between spirit guides and angels? HCK Absolutely nothing. ILT How does one "connect" with their helpers or guides? HCK First, you have to have an intention to do so and remember that they are always in touch with you. Your job is to learn how to raise your vibration pattern. The spirit then lowers its vibration pattern until you get to a place where some form of communication can develop. ILT Is it more effective to ask for help or guidance in a precise manner or to keep the request vague? HCK On the contrary, if you keep it vague, vague is what you will get. If you want something you have to be very, very specific. This is why I say to people never just ask for a relationship. You’d be safer to go out and play in traffic. You must be very specific as to what you want and it is the job of spirit to provide the energy and opportunity to create that for you. ILT How do we know the difference between our own mind chatter and energetic guidance? HCK That’s a very good question. In fact I have a new CD series out from Nightingale Conant which you can find on my website, www.hansking. com. It explains how to control the mind chatter. It is the mind chatter that interrupts our potential. It’s the mind chatter that brings us fear and doubt. It the mind chatter that is the destructive force in our life. ILT How do Jesus and religious teachings fit in? HCK Well I have often said that if we practiced the principles of Christ we’d have a wonderful life. Unfortunately we practice the principles of dogma which is attached to various churches and organizations. Nowhere in the bible will you find where Christ will say to you "and you learn to judge your fellow man" That’s something that we have done to ourselves. Jesus is a wonderful teacher. We’ve had some wonderful teachers; Buddha, Gandhiall wonderful people. If we listen to what they say, our lives get much better. So I do think that the Christ principals are very important. ILT Do you see hope for our world today? HCK Oh yes. Just lots and lots of hope. You know this is really just an illusion. People keep saying these are terrible times, but if you go back over the last hundred years there have been far worse times than this and we have gotten through. The light has always prevailed and we will prevail through this—we will prevail through the terror. I think it is important for the readers to remember that you cannot shine the dark in the light. The light always prevails. ILT If you had one thing to impart to humanity, what would it be? HCK Learn to get past the fear and learn to shift your perception. When you learn to shift your perception, your life changes dramatically.
