 Editorial
With this month’s issue we have a few changes. First of all, I would like to bid farewell to Carol and “All Things Video.” Carol has been providing us with movie reviews and keeping us up with film festivals and the likes for quite sometime now. Her diligence in bringing additional attention of the film industry to Las Vegas has helped bring new light into the City that never sleeps. Thank you so much Carol for all your works of love.
We also wish to welcome Stephen Simon of, “The Movie Mystic” who will be sharing his views of certain movies on the big screen. Welcome Stephen. Please note also that we have a new mailing address after all these years.
As we begin the month of February the emphasis is on “love” for it’s Valentine’s Day. Love is giving of ourselves and sharing what is in our hearts. “Love is in the air,” according to one popular song and what a world we would have if those words rang out and found a home in each and every heart beating today.
Love and fear…the two dominating dichotomies for world order. From these two emotions comes a wide range of consequences. With fear one experiences a myriad of feelings that can put one at risk. Fear can enhance our imaginings to the degree of not moving forward; remaining stagnant in situations that need a combined unification of the populous. Fear can be the destroyer of humanities goodness.
Yet, on the other hand, love is the builder of bridges. True love, spiritual and physical (since we are on a physical plane) are creators of great visions.
When we allow love to guide our lives, we tap into that bottomless well of sacredness. With love we find respect for all life. We find a soft place to land, an understanding of what it means to be in a world that is not so “friendly.” Love is the ultimate compassion, love is forgiveness in all its’ forms. Love is where kingdoms are made. Love is the beginning and the ending journey that will change our world if we have the courage to express our heart’s true nature.
Expressions of tenderness, compassion, joy and child-like innocence is a strong energy for creating what we envision for our world. Let us live life to the fullest extent of possibilities. The choice of living in a destructive fear-based or creative love-based society lies with each one of us.
Now please, don’t get me wrong. As long as we live with duality, there will be love and fear…for they create a balance. Together they are the barometer for where we are as a society. So, all I am saying is to ask ourselves…“where am I on the scale of balance? Do I express more from a fear-based reality or a love-based realm?” The more we express from love the more equal the scales of balance will be. Happy Valentine’s Day.
