PLAINS EMPTY - A Sundance 2005 short film selection, PLAINS EMPTY shows the lonely and desolate outback of Australia where a few isolated men mine the earth. When a young woman moves there with her man, she finds herself in a place so lonely she struggles for the tools to cope. Left alone, she is forced to face the secrets of the past in this dangerous land, and discovers that facing her demons can transform the scariest fears into friends.
