With deepest gratitude, I am continually in amazement of the ways and means by which the tides of Life draw our paper into the realms of truth and reality as experienced by those featured in, Lives In Excellence. This month I share time with Roy Worley, a phenomenally gifted psychic and creator of the game, Prophecy. After playing this game only once, I was convinced it was undoubtedly a true gift of Spirit. Created in love and dedicated to self-enlightenment, Prophecy is in a divine class of its own. In his sweet and self-deprecating manner, Roy describes himself as " just a humble South Carolina boy." However, arriving at his home for this interview, I was greeted by a deeply warm, sharply intelligent, and oh, so courageous spiritual warrior. And believe me friends, a reading from Roy Worley will change your life just as the conversation below my well change the way you look at things. kp: Roy, thank you so much for inviting me into your beautiful home for our interview today. The majority of my interviews are conducted over the telephone so, it is an extreme pleasure to be able to sit across from you, feeling your sweet energy as we explore your world. rw: Thank you, Kathryn, I am so glad we could do it this way, too! kp: Well, I want to talk all about your game, Prophecy, but first let's discuss your childhood for a minute. I read in your press releases that you began exhibiting psychic gifts at the age of eight. Tell me how this manifested itself. rw: I just began to notice that everybody I met had a different energy or vibration. I didn't even have a word for it then, but if I paid attention to each person's unique presence I could perceive their energy. kp: Now, when you say that you noticed everyone had an energy are you saying that you could feel it or could you actually see it? rw: No, I never saw auras, but I felt the energy. By just looking at a person I could sense they had a different vibration. kp: And how does it feel when you experience someone's energy? rw: Oh, everybody's is so different, it's like looking at someone's face. I can feel so much about the person just by observing their energy. The more highly evolved a person is, the more resonate their energy is. It has a higher pitch and frequency. kp: You say the energy has a higher pitch so, do you also hear it? rw: No, that is simply the analogy I use. It's like a higher pitch, note, or tone. kp: Roy, what did you do with this gift as an eight year old? rw: When I was eight I thought this was something I was just finding out that I could do that everybody else was already doing! I remember telling both of my grandmothers things, about people in their lives, that they had forgotten. Things that happened long before I was even born. Both of my grandmothers were Southern Baptist ladies so needless to say ,this unnerved them immensely. And it was then that I discovered I was doing something not everyone could do. kp: I often heard it said that psychic abilities often run in families. Were either of your grandmothers or was your mother gifted in this way? rw: Nobody in our entire family, to our knowledge, had this gift. However, everyone in my family could sing beautifully, and I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! But I could always tell them what they were going to sing next...(laughter) kp: Your mother may not have been psychic herself, yet I feel she had a deep spiritual wisdom because I read where she told you that if you used your gift for the good of others with love in your heart that it was a good thing. rw: Oh yes, and I must say, that was pretty good prompting to receive at an early age. kp: Roy, has there been a progression of your gifts through the years? rw: Actually, Kathryn, I completely cut it off by the time I was thirteen. It was just like turning off a light. At that time in my life it was more important for me to fit in with my peers. See, I had learned by that age that what I could do really unnerved and even frightened some people, particularly because I was being raised in the very strong Bible Belt area of South Carolina. kp: How long did you leave your gift 'turned off', Roy? rw: I kept it completely turned off until I was thirty-three. Of course, there were times when I would pick up general information, but as far as tuning into people directly, I made it a point not to do that. Instead I went to college and taught school for twelve years. kp: You know, I find this so interesting. Here you basically 'arrived' with this wonderful gift, yet you decided to turn it off and go into the teaching profession. Tell me why you think you had to take that little detour. In other words, what do you think you had to learn from teaching? rw: I think that entire experience was necessary for me to learn how to put things in a way that others can understand, to bring through information in an uncomplicated fashion. All those wonderful children taught me how to teach them. kp: I understand this. The ability to teach is truly a gift and one that not just everyone possesses. So, it seems to me that once you refined your talent for teaching, you then combined it beautifully with your psychic gifts in order for you to get on with your holy assignment. rw: That's exactly right, Kathryn. In fact, the last three years that I taught I felt compelled to quit teaching and start doing readings. I was teaching in Alaska making a huge salary and the hardest thing to turn loose of is that once a month paycheck kp: Especially with your Taurus rising rw: Exactly, that is true! But you know, I had started teaching when I was twenty-one. I went through four years of college in three years and two days after graduation I went right into my first teaching job. kp: What did you teach? rw: I taught elementary school and special education with the mentally and physically challenged. kp: Oh, that's wonderful. It takes a very special soul to do that kind of work well. rw: It was really intrinsically rewarding. kp: So that last three years of teaching you knew it was coming to an end. Was that because you weren't enjoying it anymore or because you were being pulled in another direction? rw: In my heart I was compelled to do readings. The only way I knew I could devote myself to doing that was by giving up the teaching career. At that time I was also strongly drawn to move to southern California. kp: Why southern California? rw: That's a real interesting story: I remember reading a book about San Diego when I was in sixth grade. There was this little map in the story that I constantly found myself staring at. I just loved San Diego, that one city. Then en route to Alaska, years later, I stopped in San Diego for about three days and absolutely fell in love with it. So, the whole time I was in Alaska I knew that when I left there I would move to San Diego. That's exactly what I did. I started doing readings there and it's obviously a very karmic place for me in life. kp: Do you think, Roy, that when we are drawn to certain localities that there is a length of time we must spend there or are there simply certain lessons we must master before we move on? rw: It could definitely be either. A lot of times I find that instead of people leaving a place prematurely, they wind up staying longer than necessary because most of us have a difficult time making a major move like that. But if we pay attention to what our hearts are compelling us to do, we will know when it is time to move on. kp: Oh, I agree. Now, you are in San Diego, driving down the freeway on February 4, 1990 when you receive a vision. Tell me what happened? rw: Well, let me backtrack for just a second to explain to you what a significant date that is for me. You see, the final straw necessary for me to quit teaching also came on February 4th of the year, 1987. I had never had a class in school that I could not develop a truly wonderful rapport with and the last class I had was thirty-six sixth graders in a tiny room on an Army base. One day I was taken from the classroom to the emergency room with chest pains. My left arm was numb, Kathryn, and I couldn't feel my fingers. I thought to myself, "I'm thirty-three, and I'm having a heart attack. How could this be?" They did the EKG and when the doctor read it he said, " Roy, you're healthy as a horse so, tell me about your job." So I proceeded to unload on the guy for about an hour. Subsequently he prescribed a sabbatical, and in essence that was the day I quit teaching - February 4, 1987. Now, to get back to your original question, Kathryn, three years later, to that very day, the universe gave me the wonderful gift of Prophecy. I was out in my car that day just enjoying the weather. One moment I wasn't thinking about a thing, and in the next instant absolutely everything about this game was in my head. It was not like the information came in linearly, one thing at a time. It was delivered quantumly, in one big block. All at once I knew the size of the box, the color, the Egyptian art, the use of tarot, astrology and numerology, twenty-one cards and twenty-one houses, etc., etc.... However, the booklet of interpretations took me about a year and a half to complete. And the really strange thing is that when I was writing the book that comes with the game, I could only use yellow paper and blue felt-tip pen. I do not know why, but that was the only way the information could come through. Someone told me yellow was the color of the mind, intellect, and all forms of communication while blue is the color linking spirit and the earth plane through creativity. But at the time I had no idea of any of this. All I knew was I was being guided to use the yellow pad, and the blue pens, so I did. kp: Well, I want you to know that I wanted to meet you and do this interview because I received a copy of your game, Prophecy, for my birthday from a mutual f friend ( thank you, Gerry!) and I just fell in love with it. It's easy, it's fun, fascinating, exciting, and most importantly, Roy, it is incredibly accurate as an oracle. rw: Thank you, and you know, I have been told by professional psychics that Prophecy is the only thing they can use for themselves to get an accurate reading. Even dyed in the wool skeptics have admitted to me that their Prophecy reading delineated correctly exactly what was going on in their lives. And I do believe that in the nineties the energy is such that we have begun to tune into our own inner voice for spiritual guidance. Toward that end, Prophecy is just a tool. kp: I'll say it is... it's like having your own private psychic in a box! rw: That's right, in fact friends have told me, " Roy, you put you in a box and every time I do my Prophecy reading I hear it in a southern accent." (laughter) kp: Oh, that's great, I love it! You know what else I love about your game, Roy? My children love to play it and the answers they receive are just as valid for their young lives. So, as they play a 'game' they are learning the fundamentals of numerology, astrology, and tarot all while having great fun. rw: You know, getting such a positive response from kids that age is something that really did surprise me and it makes me very happy. kp: Did you read the Tarot, or were you familiar with the principles of numerology and astrology yourself before the game came to you? rw: No. Before I put Prophecy together I had strictly a layman's view of tarot, astrology and numerology. Due to the mechanism by which all of this information came through, I don't take credit for those. I was just the conduit that brought the message through. As you know, Kathryn, when the Earth plane is ready for something the universe usually dispenses that information in more than one place. Like the car, you know, it was simultaneously invented in four different spots on the planet. So, the day I received the information, my partner, Robert, and I started working on it immediately, and luckily we were the first ones to produce it. kp: There is no doubt in my mind that this was your destiny to fulfill. rw: Well, we went through quite a dark period where we experienced some very hard times while we worked to complete Prophecy but Robert and I feel that we can handle the good things that are happening now much differently than we might have had we not gone through all that. Robert and I truly appreciate every good thing that happens to us, we really do. We stay in a constant state of gratitude to God. kp: And I know that is one of the reasons why all these wonderful things are happening for you now. Roy, where can our readers purchase, Prophecy? rw: At just about all the finer metaphysical gift shops and bookstores as well as the gift shop at the Luxor. kp: Since I know you personally possess the gift of prophecy, tell me, if you will, what you predict for our future. rw: Kathryn, I have been talking about 1997 since 1992. I always felt that this was going to be the most intense year of change. Now time, as you and I have known it in our lifetime, is not time anymore. Time is scrunched up and it is the most ultra-accelerated it has ever been. All the old Biblical predictions, Nostradamus and even Edgar Cayce concerning this decade and humanity obliterating ourselves off this planet were right on for when they were made. But at the end of the eighties and into the nineties enough people on the planet raised their consciousness to the point that we got by the skin of our teeth. As far back as 1974 and 1975 I was picking up that the eighties was going to be a real intense time of greed and self-gratification. Then by 1985 I sensed that the nineties energy was one that was going to prompt and promote the most tremendous physical disasters we had ever seen. And we have seen the biggest floods, the biggest hurricanes, but it is also the ten year period for the greatest awakening of mass consciousness ever. See, now that we are here for the long term, everybody is evolving to and will achieve the same spiritual level at some point in time. Yet it's kind of like running the Boston marathon. There's that first person who breaks the tape and then there's always that last person who comes straggling across the line. Believe me though, we are all going to make it eventually. And this year, 1997, is when we went into ultra-ultra-acceleration in respect to time because our consciousness is at a level where we can handle that type of energy and we can progress much more rapidly. kp: What prompted this mass awakening? rw: It was just time. It was the result of our own spiritual progression. Jesus Christ came at the last one percent of a two hundred thousand year cycle. He came two thousand years ago to show us all what we are aspiring to be through the Christ consciousness within ourselves. kp: Do you feel that the Christ opened a doorway for the rest of us by his living example. rw: Oh, I'm sure that had a catalystic effect. However, even with the way organized religions have abused the lesson somehow we still managed to get through it, in spite of them. kp: What are the major changes to look for next? rw: Well, there is a lot going on with magnetics and frequency. The higher the frequency, and the lower the magnetics in a given area, the higher people's consciousness seems to be. For example, there is high frequency, low magnetics on the West coast and people there are usually innovative and highly progressive in their thinking. However, in the South it's high magnetics and low frequency. So, people there often seem to be backwards, twenty years behind time, and highly judgmental. kp: That makes perfect sense. Roy, as we end this two hundred thousand year cycle around the turn of the century, what do you see ahead for us? rw: That's real interesting, too. In 1994 when I attempted to tune into the years 2000 to 2010, I got nothing! And I thought, "Okay guys, what's going on?" The information that then came through told me that since human beings have evolved in their spiritual consciousness to the point they have, the nineties vibration is going to stay the same, but just get stronger. It is the very best vibration for people to elevate their consciousness. And that just expands. Its like you hit a certain note on the scale and it just keeps getting louder and louder. By the year 2002 technology is going to double annually. By the time new things come out, they're already going to be obsolete. kp: What spiritual practices do you recommend people employ in order to facilitate the expansion of their awareness in these profoundly significant times? rw: I have found what works for one person isn't always the best method for someone else. kp: What works for you? rw: I keep myself spiritually grounded by focusing on being in the now without hanging on to the past or worrying about the future. kp: Oh yea, Roy, you would pick the hardest one! (laughter) rw: It is one of the more difficult ones, but see that's what works for me. Years ago I could meditate. I can't really meditate anymore. So, instead I work on keeping my focus on the present moment. kp: Well, these moments you have spent with me today have certainly been a beautiful present. Thank you so much, Roy.
